The villa is situated near Old Town Kotor, one of the most renowned towns in the Mediterranean, which is included in UNESCO world natural and cultural inheritance.

Kotor is situated at the deepest end of Boka Kotorska Bay surrounded by Mount Lovcen and the sea on one side with the Vrmac peninsula on the other.
The time and place of its foundation have not been precisely determined.  Tradition links Kotor to the antique Acruvium, the town mentioned by Pliny the elder from the 1st century AD.

It has not yet been established whether Acruvium had been situated on the site of the present-day Kotor or somewhere in Grbalj area.
The second hypothesis seems more likely. Judging by available facts, the citizens of Acruvium.
